Kang The Conquerer

Kang, an armored conqueror from the far-flung future, has brought his armies back in time to defeat those he considers to be history's greatest villains - the Avengers!

In the future, the timeline from which Kang comes was destroyed by a time vortex, and Kang believes Captain America to be somehow responsible. The time vortex had begun to claim Kang's consort, Ravonna, before his vessel time-transported to the past.

His invasion was defeated by the Avengers, who are working to cure Ravonna.  SHIELD has taken possession of his spacecraft and other weapons.  Kang himself and his minions are being held in the 42 super-prison, and are then presumably transfered to the Hydro-Base prison after its destruction.

Some time in the future, Kang will escape from custody and somehow find himself stranded in Ancient Egypt, where he will adopt the name Rama-Tut.  Ravonna will awaken from her coma, steal the Golden Frogs of Solomon, and go to Kang, only to lose them to Hawkeye, stranding Kang and Ravonna in the past.

Ravonna was discorporiating in the timestream when Kang jumped back in time to attempt to preserve their timeline. Ravonna will awaken from her coma, steal the Golden Frogs of Solomon, and go to Kang, only to lose them to Hawkeye, stranding Kang and Ravonna in the past.
