CENTER FOR HUMAN EXPANSION OF SOCIAL SERVICES

Welcome to C.H.E.S.S., the Center for Human Expansion of Social Services. C.H.E.S.S. is a privately-funded, non-profit agency whose mission is to provide a learning infrastructure in large urban areas for today's youth to learn basic and advanced computer technology, languages, and the Arts.

C.H.E.S.S. was founded in 1976 by the last will and testament of Nils Bohrmann, an American industrialist who created the Chess Foundation, placing his entire estate in trust to provide C.H.E.S.S. with an ongoing source of revenue. Sicne then, C.H.E.S.S. has also been fortunate enough to be the recipient of donations from Sponsoring Companies.

C.H.E.S.S. Locations

C.H.E.S.S. has facilities and offices in the following locations:

San Jose, California USA - Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, this facility is also our corporate headquarters!

New York City, New York USA - Besides offices and training facilities, our NYC office is also host to the C.H.E.S.S. Historical Museum, telling the story of our organization.

Chicago, Illinois USA - Our Chicago facilities also play host to the Modern Jazz Academy, which sponsors free musical instrument lessons and concerts for urban youth.

Atlanta, Georgia USA - Deep in the heart of the American South, this facility specializes in firewall and Internet router training.

Cairo, Egypt - Our newest facility, this facility is also home to our experimental mobile connectivity labs.

C.H.E.S.S. Staff

 

Osaka, Japan - Our shining star in Asia, our Japanese facilities include dormitory facilities for many of our foreign students, and our Languages Institute, promoting cross-cultural understanding through cross-lingual training.

London, England - The smallest of our offices, this facility also maintains the Artificial Intelligence development labs.

St. Petersburg, Russia - Our most popular facility, this facility is the home of the network interactivity gaming center, including a large gallery of classic arcade games open to the public!
