- The Kree Empire is an amalgamation of many planets, with each organic and
inorganic being functioning as a part of hive intelligence -- from the lowest
ant to the tallest tree. The collective intellect calls itself the Supreme
Intelligence. Soldiers, scientists, and other agents which require a certain
amount of self-determination are often disconnected from the Supreme Intelligence
for periods of time, and are able to function until such a time as they are
able to participate in the group-mind again. The Supreme Intelligence freqently
detaches and reabsorbs parts of itself so that it can contrast different
perspectives, which has sometimes led to civil war within the hive.
