Captain America - Steve Rogers

Captain America Captain America has had a long and strange career, stretching from World War II to the modern day. Of course, according to Marvel, its only been about ten years since he was freed from that block of ice.

Over his 50+ years in comics, we've also had a look at some pretty strange alternate versions of Cap!.

Captains Courageous

When Steve Rogers dropped from the experimental drone plane (and Bucky I met his untimely death), he was swiftly frozen until he was found and awakened by the Avengers. During this time (from the late 1940's until his reappearance) several others wore the uniform of Captain America (and Bucky).

The Invaders

The Original Human Torch

Captain America led the Invaders during World War II, based in England and taking the battle across the Channel into Occupied Europe.

Modern Allies

Since his awakening by the Avengers, Captain America has had several partners and close allies. Some of these have fallen in the fight, others have decided to fight on seperately.

Captain America and Romance

Sharon Carter, Agent 13

Captain America has been romantically involved with a number of women - spies, agents of SHIELD, and the occassional super-villainess bad girl. Oh, and an assortment of relatively-normal women too.

Dr. Faustus

Many of his enemies are not ex-Nazis or part of some super-secret organization, but nonetheless threaten innocent lives whenever they appear - and whenever they appear, they'll find a large, red-white-and-blue shield about to bonk them on their head!

The Red Skull & Minions

Red Skull

The Red Skull is the penultimate Captain America villain, in many ways Captain America was developed as an answer to this evil agent of terror, the pride of the Nazi regime. Like Captain America, he survived the post- WWII era to become one of the most dangerous threats to today's world.
